The best natural way to keep these flies away from your house is to keep your house cleaner. Don't leave any food stuff uncovered. Keep the garbage basket cleaner and covered. This might do the purpose:)

Actually you are wrong. I have a live in nanny and my house is immaculately clean, I was still having the fruit fly problem. Try pouring bleach down the drain sometimes they can feed off bacteria maybe lingering around in the drains:)
I just read today in the Farmers Almanac to get rid of Fruit flies is to put a dish of cider vinegar and water on your counter top they will dive right into it. Good Luck
I think the Vinegar really works they are attracted to it completely BUT they do not always go in it SO what I did was got a can of Hairspray (aerosol works best) while they are on the container you spray the hair spray and they are unable to move THEN you have to clean off the container and start over to get them all...I also poured Bleach down my sink.. I am now Nat free!! Hopes this helps!!
