Although he enjoyed a long and much celebrated career both at club and at international level Peter Beardsley, didn't enjoy much in the way of winning trophies.
Beardsley enjoyed his most successful period as a player after joining Liverpool in nineteen eighty seven. In his first full season with the club he won the first division league title in nineteen eighty seven, eighty eight season. He also collected a runners up medal in the FA cup after the reds surprisingly lost one nil to under dogs Wimbledon in the final.
The following season, his fortunes were reversed, after losing the league title to Arsenal in the final game of the season. The reds did beat near neighbours Everton three two in the FA cup final though.
