How To Write A Mission Statement?

Mission statement is a formal statement which states aim of the organization. It can inlcude anything e.g. Mission statement of an organization can be : 'Our mission statement is to gain the highest market share in the industry'. Mission statements can be long as well as precise. Care should be taken to avoid uncertainty and too much subjectivity in the mission statements. State the objective of the organization clearly e.g. 'We want to become the best customer centric organization in the industry' or 'The aim of our organization is to achieve 70% market share in the industrial sector. Vague and ambiguous mission statements do not help its employees understanding the real goal of the organization. An example of ambiguous mission statement can be 'We aspire to achieve excellence with maximum hard work and work efficiency'. This mission statement does not depict anything about the goals of the company therefore is not a good mission statement.
