Why Want They Let Me Do What I Want To Do (dance)?

When i leave school i want to go to college to do dance either preforming or tech (disco) dance. I have found a college that i would like to go to but my mum and nan say i should go to one closer to home, but the colleges near home don't do dance. Every time we talk about it we end up shouting about it. My nan says i can do dance for a year then do something else, she does not understand its what i want to do. Its my life and i love dancing why wont they let me do it?

"Let" you do it? How old are you? If you're of age, you can make your own plans, but, if you expect your mum and your nan to financially support you, that's a different issue.

If you're being offered the opportunity to devote full-time to study/pursuit of Dance for one year with some assistance from them, please appreciate their potential contribution. Please don't whine because you'd prefer more than that.

If you want the further college, you may need to get a job and save money to be able to go there. That's the way it works.

If the further college is actually an accredited college, rather than a school of dance, you will be expected to take other courses as well, many of which will require such skills as spelling and grammar, which you may wish to study at home as you save-up for the college fees. Repeating: You can show your mum and your nan that you're serious about college by cleaning up your spelling and grammar so you won't need to begin with remedial courses.
