If you are seeking hotel accommodations, make sure to visit expedia.com, hotels.com, hotwire.com, etc. They offer many rooms at reduced rates. I have used all three without a problem. Copy down their 1-800 numbers also. You may need to call and an actual person will be available for questions.

Apartments are also available should you be interested in staying a week or more. These allow you to become immersed in the nearby neighborhoods, truly experiencing the country. Al Gore has a website for global warming and there is a special link to apartments for rent when traveling abroad. Although this may seem odd, the premise is that the waste of hotel use (water, paper products, daily cleaning solvents, etc.) will be reduced when living in an apartment.
