How Many Womble Books Were Written?

There were 5 Wombles books written by Elisabeth Beresford.
The first was, The Wombles which was published in 1968. The second was The Wandering Wombles in 1970. The third was The Wombles at Work, which was in print in the year 1973. The The Wombles to the Rescue was the fourth novel, which was immediately published in the following year. And the 5th novel, The Wombles Go Round the World was published was in the year 1976.

The first three publishes were a great hit. The last two did not receive great success, since it was released after the famous TV series. Apart from these novels, Elisabeth Beresford also published a compilation of small stories entitled, The Invisible Womble and Other Stories, in the year 1973. Some of her other publishes over the years included, picture books for kids, early story reading for children and some other novels.
