What Are The Differences Between Hard Water And Soft Water?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Hard Water contains dissolved molecules/compounds of Calcium and Magnesium eg Ca(OH)3 thus it is the best for water for drinking, but it does not allow soap to lather and leaves slags on kettles. Hard water can be treated by boiling or addition of quicklime

Soft water is opposite of Hardwater, Here the dissolved compds of Ca and Mg is change to a non soluble compds of Ca and Mg. It is best for laundry, etc
