Parvo in dogs is caused by an contagious virus called parvovirus. This virus is transmitted through feces of infected dogs and contaminated objects. Parvo can affect dogs of all ages but puppies below 8 months of age are more prone to be affected. After getting virus of parvo, dogs can show symptoms after 3-14 days. Following symptoms can be observed in dogs.
- Vomiting that can be bloody
- Diarrhea
- Depression
- Fever
- Dehydration
- Loss of appetite
