WAIS is defined as Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale. It is a general test of intelligence which was published in February 1955. It was published as a revision of the Wechsler - Bellevue Test.
It is defined intelligence as 'global capacity of a person to act purposefully and to deal effectively with the environment'.
