What Causes A Transmission To Shift From High To A Lower Gear While Driving?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Don't know what type of transmission you have, but it could be a shift solenoid or a Vehicle Speed Sensor, (VSS).
Suggest you have the vehicle's computer scanned, (even if you do not have an engine light on), to see if there are any trouble codes. Then go from there.
Some auto parts stores will scan at no charge.
