How To Plan For A Pet Friendly Vacation?
Answers
If you are traveling with your pet you have to do some planning in advance to experience a trouble free vacation. Here are some guidelines.
Let's start with the most important thing, does the hotel allow pets? You have to crosscheck that the hotel allows pets.
If your pet is not a regular traveler, you should make him used to traveling. The point is that, your pet should be friendly with the car, so you should take him for long drives.
When you are on the trip make sure that your pet carries an identification tag with the pet's name and your contact number.
Consult your veterinarian and vaccinate the pet and carry a note from the vet certifying that your pet is healthy, do carry a photograph of your pet along with you.
Once you are in the hotel, find out if there are any areas where pets are not allowed.
Make sure that your pet does not use hotel furniture or the bed to sit or sleep, always cover the area with your own sheet.
Take extra precaution if weather is hot. Hot temperature inside your car can cause serious medical problems to your pet.
