Today's Society...
It has been drawn to my attention that these days you need to be more of a bad girl. Than a honest reliable person, back in my days 80s. Is this true? Do you need to have a cold heart, to just not care about anything?? Please let me know your thoughts.

I have to disagree queen13.
First I don't think is the question that 'the times have changed'.
Honest, reliable people with a good heart have been well considered by others in any society. And these are qualities very important to get success and a good position.
Honestly 'bad guys/gals' types with cold hearts could look as if they are doing everything they want, in little time and without much effort, but I bet you a grand that they will spoil everything at the end.

Hi, I was taught to be honest, respectful, reliable and kind to others. In other words, if you cannot help someone, do not hurt them. I am middle aged now and I will not let the bad behavior of other influence my behavior. I have seen a lot of mean and nasty things said and done to people. Those people do think they have the upper hand and they got over on someone. However, in the long run, they are only getting over on themselves, because soon or later they will pay for their crimes. I try my best to live by this motto, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, because I believe that one day I will answer to a Higher Power. Take care!

I am too a believer that you must treat people as you would treat yourself (with respect). It just feels like I can not move forwards in my life. Due to serve bullying when I was very young child. I feel that it has changed the way that I see the world around me. Such as not being able to communicate openly with people in public. As I fear that they will judge me and my reputation. Therefore not being able to see the true person whom I am. :)
