How Does An Animal Adapt To Its Environment?

All living organisms have the ability of adapting to their surrounding environment. The ability of adaptation is an inborn one, not a learned one. A biological adaptation is an anatomical system, physiological procedure or attitudinal pattern of a living organism which has developed gradually over a long time period through the course of natural selection so that it raises the usual long term reproductive achievement of the organism.

Beings which have successfully adapted to their surrounding environment can do the following:

Get the basic necessities, namely air, water, food etc.
Manage with physical elements like temperature, light etc.
Protect themselves from natural foes
Reproduce
React to modifications or alterations which take place around them.
Adaptation is something that comes naturally to a person; it does not have to be forced. It is simply an off shoot of the survival instinct which is present in all living organisms.

Adaptation is only in domesticated pets, or those who have not been born in the wild. You see, if you adopt an animal that was born in the wild, by puberty, teenage for us, it will return to its instinct of wanting to mate.  The only way to avoid this is to have the animal spayed or neutered, then if it is wild, will either become calm or turn on you.  That is why you should never adopt a wild animal.  Some animals adapt to a change in environment or survival - i.e. Mice.  They can live anywhere as long as there is a food source.  Some animals cannot adapt to a change due to where they come from.  For instance, a Lizzard has to have a lot of heat and light during day, and an extremely cool environment at night. They are what we call cold blooded. You can't bring a lizzard to the far north and let it go free as it will die from the cold.  Also, ever notice those cute monkeys they use in movies.  They are only cute as they are babies.  Once they reach their teen years they go wild and often have to be euthinized or worse. Animals, unless domesticated, cannot survive in a control environment and will have a much shorter life expectancy

It doesnt it has to be in its environment that it was made for you cant make a fish adapt to the sky it was made for swimming not flying duh

Only some animals can adapt to different habitats cause if u took a lion and put it like in the Artica it wouldnt survive. And some animals dont adapt to different places they adapt to different weather changes.the animals that can adapt to different habitats were made to adapt to different habitats.
