It has antioxidants in it. Also, when considering most people don't drink enough water this helps because it counts for some of you daily water intake.

Over the last few decades green tea has begun to be subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and developing certain types of cancer. Thmpsn's got it right BearGrzz2.  Green tea is one of the great things that is easy to add to our diets and it is just good, good, good for us in so many ways.  You can get it in many different styles as well, regular, decaf, bottled ice tea, with sweetener, without.  If you get the wrong one it can have a slightly bitter aftertaste but just keep trying because each one is slightly different.  I have a mint green tea that I find particularly refreshing in the morning.  I was going to give you the name but I used the last and threw out the box.  Shop around and you can find one you like.

Green Tea is supposed to be an antioxidant and is used to aid against cancer cell building in the body and prevents the development of blood clots which lead to heart disease and stroke. It also is supposed to be a fat burning aid and metabolism increaser.  Green tea made me anxious, urinate a lot and loosened my bowels.  Not a hot tea drinker or I should say, sipper.   If it's a tea it has to go down warm to reap the benefits.  I'll try the capsules next. I now have recycled the tea for sweet iced tea usage.  : )
