    Since ancient times, honey is considered to be a good nutritious and healing product. Bees produce honey by processing nectar they get from flower blossom. It is estimated that to get one pound of honey, the bees must require at least 70,000 nectars. Honey is not a source of sugar (glucose, fructose) only, it also contains protein, antimicrobials, hormones, organic acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and live enzymes.

    It is always better to use honey over the white sugar and there are plenty of reasons for that. First and foremost reason is to assimilate sugar contained in honey; the body needs less work to be employed in converting the sugar into energy. It's because the honey has a very simple structure whereas white sugar has a complex structure as because it is highly refined – this requires more work to be done in the processing of sugar into energy. Secondly, after the processing of white sugar in the body, the rest part is stored in the fat tissue, eventually leads to the inappropriate production of insulin in the body. Thirdly, white sugar may percolate some of the minerals from the body, while the honey puts those into the system. Research showed that white sugar contains carcinogen and it does not any vitamin or minerals at all. It also inhibits the absorption of calcium in intestines – hence it weakens the bone strength. On the other hand, honey increases the ability to absorb calcium, magnesium and zinc, hence increasing the bone strength.
