I would politely tell them that I am not, and then I would thank them for putting me on a diet! Then I would laugh, and I would make sure to tell them that I was not offended. After all, it's my fault then that I should look like that, not theirs, right!

I would have a problem. I don't what I would say. I probably would be hurt but not dare say anything. But you should correct them. The above answer is a good one.

That's why you don't ask. If you know a person well enough, you would already know without asking. I would probably find it quite funny.

I would think that the person who made such a presumption, was either a "Very Personal good friend, or a "Very rude type that desperately needed to mind his/her own business?. I think perhaps this was not possible.

the blurt it team re wrote my original question it should say" how would you react if you we're not pregnant?" and then the explanation below. i just saw this on a seinfeld episode.
