My Landlord Didn't Tell Us There Was Lead Paint, Can I Break The Lease?
Our landlady (we live in upstate NY) told us nothing with regards tro possible lead paint being in the home (19th century house). This non-disclosure on her part, along with the extreme heating bills we will be facing-also not disclosed by her- is making us want to move. Do we have standing to break the one year lease we signed?
