You need to check the specifications of your dvd burner or your manual. If you put a dual layered dvd in a normal player, you can ruin the dual layered dvd.

I'm not quite sure what you are really asking. But if you mean burn something on to a dual DVD+r by using a regular computer dvd burner, I'd like to give some advice.
It may depends on the your dvd burner. The dvd burner I'm using to burn my dvds can burn movies and videos to dual dvd+r, I'm not sure about yours.
