Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

William Blake hailed from Britain. He was born in England into a middle class family at 28A, Golden Square, Broad Street, London. He had never attended school and driven by a passion for arts and poetry he decided to join drawing classes. William Blake's work was influenced by Marten Heemskerk, Raphael, and Michelangelo. He was also very highly influenced by the Bible, though many believed that he was from the Moravian cult.

William Blake was once dubbed as 'MAD' for his narrow minded approach, but is now considered as a phenomenal artist. Blake was enchanted by mysticism and his Christian beliefs were affected by this. He was independent despite bordering on poverty throughout his life. His grave was an unmarked one in a public cemetery called Bunhill Fields.
