Siamese have a creamy base coat with colored points on their snouts, ears, paws, and lower legs, tails (in males) scrota due to partial albinism, resulting from an enzyme involved in melanin production. They have variety of colored eyes.
Siamese cats (purebreds) are delightful, intelligent and very entertaining. They almost sound like a baby crying/whining when they want attention. They like "alone time" but are also very affectionate. They tend to live longer than other breeds of cats.(Mine lived to be 19!) If you plan to get a male, get him neutered unless you plan to use him for breeding purposes. Otherwise he will wail loudly at night if there are females around in heat. Females too are gentle, especially if spayed. Most Siamese cats (either sex) tend to pick one "master" that they will try hard to please (if they feel like it.) If you have children or other pets, they tend to be very even tempered toward both, providing they aren't roughed up. Bred with a Persian (longhair) you have a Himalayan, and these are some BEAUTIFUL cats. Siamese cats like to have a special place or 2 where they can observe the goings-on inside and out. Some are very talkative, loudly vocal when they want something, and again utterly entertaining. Hope this helps.
