Unfortunately, this is actually legal. You can give power of attorney to absolutely any adult, which means that the individual with this new authority can make all kinds of important financial decisions concerning your finances and property. Since you are married to your husband and have children, however, he should be obliged to provide you with a reasonable amount of assistance on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, you may only be able to receive this money if you file for divorce. At this point, the judge would determine an appropriate amount of monthly assistance, based upon your husband's own financial situation.
