Sounds like maybe a loose connection on one of the battery terminals. The clicking makes it sound as if it is not getting full power. Is there any corrosion? Of course, it could also be the starter and you can take it in to some autoparts stores where they can check it but you have to get it there somehow.

Check your connections on the battery to make sure they are tight and clean. It sounds like it is the bendix part of the starter that is going bad. You can buy the starter and bendix together at the auto stor. The auto store will check it for free and let you know if that is the problem.
