The term habit means a particular behaviour pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary. Habit when applied in perspective of biology, refers to the automatic actions of animals and the natural inclinations of plants.

In zoology, this word is applied usually to illustrate where an animal spent the majority of its life cycle. As in Botany, the word is used regularly to depict the general appearance, growth form, or even the architecture of a plant.

In human beings even there are particular habits like getting up early, jogging, brushing teeth, etc. These are things which a human being has been doing since a very long period and hence it becomes more of a routine for him, and over the period of years on these habits start coming from within.
