    Anne Frank was born in Germany and was a Jewish. The reason for her worldwide fame was the publication of her diary which chronicled her experiences from June 1942 to August 1944. Many films and plays have been adapted from her diary which was translated in several languages. What attracted people to her diary was the quality of her writing and her experiences during the Holocaust.

    Anne Frank died at the age of 15 in March 1945. She died in a Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp which was located in Lower Saxony near Celle. About 50,000 people died in this camp.
