What Dose The Moon Have To Do With Tide Can U Plz Explain This To Me?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Moon, being massive, has a gravitational field of its own. As the Moon rotates around the Earth, this gravitational field pulls at the Earth, and since water is free to move, it 'bunches up' and follows the Moon around the Earth, high tide being a little behind where the Moon is in the sky. Hope that helps!
