Why Are There Hurricanes In Hawaii ?
Hawaii is in the Pacific Ocean where I always thought that typhoons replaced hurricanes. I was wondering why they have hurricanes, not typhoons in Hawaii

Hurricanes are rare in Hawaii, but as you say, they do happen. This is mainly because it is still a tropical area, and also because of its position Hawaii is vulnerable to winds from different directions. There is more information at usatoday.com if you are interested.
