Terry Goodkind wrote his first novel "Wizard's First Love" when he was on the Mount Deserted Island with his wife Jeri. This was the time when his house on the Mount Deserted Island was under construction, in 1993. His first novel launched in the year 1994. It was sold in an auction at a price, six times more than the price ever paid for the first copy of a fantasy novel. For the first time, it printed around sixty thousand copies which made it an international best seller.
He continuously wrote more nine novels and published it subsequently. He also created one novella to great commercial success. Almost all his book appeared in the list of New York Times Bestseller. Among his latest novels, "Chainfire" was at the #3 position in the list of New York Times Bestseller, in the year 2005. He launched another book "Phantom" in the year 2006, it was voted at #1 in "New York Times Bestseller".
