    I Have A 2 1/2 Month Old Shih Tzu And He Has Been To The Vet But We Found A Lump In His Stomach When He Lays Down. What Could It Be?

    I just got my Shih tzu last Monday. We took him to the vet friday and they said he was healthy. But he has had a little bit of the runs. I figured that was because of the de wormer the vet gave him. But i was playing with him and he was laying down and i felt a knot. I dont know if it is just his insides and i am just freaking out or what. Should i worry?

    If this bump is near to his belly button (just in front of his penis) it could be an umbelical hernia which is usually harmless. New pups often get the runs - it can be from the stress/excitement of the new home, or slightly different water supply or a change of food. I would contact the vet and describe the lump, and his runs and see what they say.
