My Dog Has Developed Yellow, Crusty Lesions On The Underside Of His Ears Since Being Groomed A Couple Of Weeks Ago. Antibiotic Cream Does Not Seem To Be Helping. Any Ideas What Is Could Be And What To Do?

The groomer did a horrible job as we found several nicks on his body and he developed several red, rash looking spots that itched terribly. Those seem to be getting better now although he is still scratching more than usual. The scabby, yellow crusty lesions seem to bother him but do not seem to itch too badly.

In this situation the best way is to let it heal on its own. You just take care of its cleanliness and make it sure that it do not scratch or bite its skin. Scratching will make the situation even worst. I suggest you to wash the area twice a day with surgical scrub very gently. Happy Jack Spot Balm is also helpful to speed up the healing process. Try to prevent the lesions from scratching. If your dog scratches the area then cover it for a day or two in such a way that air passage is not blocked. Air helps to heal the affected area even faster.
