Follow the instructions to upgrade Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10. It is assumed that you are using the GNOME desktop environment.
1) System -> Administration -> Update Manager
2) You will see an option “New distribution release ‘9.10′ is available”. Click the Upgrade button to upgrade and follow the prompts to upgrade your distribution.
