How Long Does Temazepam Stay In Your System?

I had a blood test done today & was told that some type of Benzodiazepine is in my system in the form of xanax, valium, or temazepam. I had surgery almost three weeks ago & was given many different meds, I know temazepam was one of them used to treat my sleeplessness. Is it possible that it is still in my blood almost 3 weeks later??

Temazepam is benzodiazepam which is short acting. Its half life is 8-20 hours without ant active metabolites. If you have taken this medicine in normal dosages then it can not stay for 3 weeks after discontinuation of the drug. Only possibility is that you might have taken in heavy dosages and for longer periods of time. It is also possible that anesthesia and Temazepam together might prolonged the drug stay in your system.
