Reux basically is a small commune of the department of Calvados, situated in the Basse-Normandie district of France. According to the census conducted in the year 2004 the total population of this region was said to be 332 with another 22 secondary residents.
Basse-Normandie basically is a district located in France; it was formed in the year 1956 when the Normandy district was distributed into Basse-Normandie and Haute-Normandie. This district comprises of three departments, which are Calvados, Manche and Orne. The economy of this region is based mainly on agriculture, with livestock, dairy farming and fruiting production being the key industries.
Tourism is also one of prime industries in this region, where as iron ore is mined on a large scale near Caen, which is also the capital of this region.
