How Do I Change Front Wheel Bearings On A 2001 GMC Yukon?
I have a 2001 GMC Yukon, I believe the front wheel bearings need to be replaced. How do I go about replacing them myself?

The bearing comes with the hub assembly. You have to remove the hub assembly from control arms and steering ends for changing wheel bearing on a 2001 GMC Yukon. The real problem is that the bearing is sealed and is pressured fit in to the hub. A hydraulic press is needed to remove the bearing and install the new one. I think it would be better to go to any auto shop that can press out old bearing and press new one in.
I am giving a link which is giving the information about changing the front wheel bearings in general.

I changed the left side hub/bearing assembly on my 2004 Yukon yesterday. Do not remove the knuckle from the control arms and steering ends. Procedure: Jack vehicle and set on jackstands. Remove wheel. Remove brake caliper, then the brake rotor. Remove 3 bolts from back of hub assembly and slide assembly out. It is not press fit into the knuckle. Mine was slightly rusted in so it required a little hammer motivation. Install new hub assembly, rotor, caliper and wheel. 1 hour job.

You will need a torque wrench, and can get the torque specs from MIBearings LLC (google it)
