My Dog Seems To Have A Problem Breathing After She Runs Through The Wheatfield Next To My House. Possible Allergy?

My Boxer dog seems to have a problem breathing after she runs through the wheatfield next to my house. I was thinking that she might have a possible allergy to all the dust, or maybe the wheat itself. I noticed she has been trying to hack something up a time or two, and has a tough time breathing when active at times, as well as night a little bit. Do you think she might have swolled something when running with her mouth open? Her condition doesn't seem life threatening. What should I do?

First of all see if your dog still has problems breathing when she is rested. If she has problems take her to the vet asap because it might be a more serious problem. If there is no problem when she is rested,  the cause can be either allergy or just fatigue. My dog is allergic to wheat so I have some experience in this field. You should start by testing her for allergies. And I also suggest to stop walking her in the wheat field for now.

She can breathe fine when she is resting... and I don't walk her in the wheat field. I live in the country, she is a country dog with the ability to roam, and seems to like the wheat. I guess I will just have to tie her up. Thanks for your answer.
