Can I Be Evicted If I Paid My Rent And My Landlord Says I Haven't?

Tenant/landlord difference of facts

Answer Question

No you can't be evicted on it but there must be an evidence for it when you gave the rent. Didn't you sign any thing? Still if you didn't pay the rent then landlord can't evict you straightforwardly. Read your agreement carefully about your rights.

If you paid by check, you have the proof that you paid the rent.  If you paid cash, but didn't get a receipt, that was a big mistake.  Do you have a lease?  If so, check it out.
