Where Is Wraysbury?

Wrasbury also at times spelt as Wyrardisbury is a small village located in Berkshire, England. It is positioned towards the east of the county. It is placed on the northern bank of the River Thames and is approximately twenty two miles west of London.

The name of the village is of Anglo Saxon origin which means 'Waerheard's town'. It has been recorded as Wyrardisbury in the Domesday Book. The parish church which is located in St Andrews is basically a Gothic Structure, built between Norman and Early English period, it is said that this Church was constructed by King John.

This village was used as a part of hunting grounds when the Saxons were staying at Old Windsor. The Magna Carta Islands which come under the parish of Warsbury is said to be the place where Magna Carta was sealed in 1215.
