How Do I Find The Vin On A 1940 Buick?

Answer Question

Cars of this era had no VIN number. They did however have a build number or similar information. It can be located on the firewall under the hood or in some other location. Look for a build tag.

The VIN # should be in the driver's side door jamb, below the windshield. It be a 7 - 9 digit number. They are also stamped on the left front frame rail, usually near the master cylinder mount.
