Three legged cats usually do very well, because they have three legs to balance on. Unlike humans who only have two legs and if you remove one then we are off balance. A cat has two extra legs to balance on so they tend to cope very well with the loss of a leg. A cats main thing it needs to balance is its tail so as long as it still has a tail then it can balance all right on three legs.

Hi, I had my cat for 19 years. She lost her right front leg when she was two. Never stopped her from doing anything except she only went outside with one of us since the accident.
