    Memory unit is a term used to measure the memory of a computer. Some of the most widely used memory units are:

    The smallest measure of a computer memory is bit. After that there are bytes which are made of 8 bits. A byte is considered to be the smallest unit of information. The other memory units are: Kilo bytes (KB) made up of 1024 bytes, 1024 KBs make 1 Mega bytes (MB), a Giga bytes (GB) consists of 1024 MBs.

    There are further large memory units like Tera bytes, Petabytes, exabytes, zettabytes and others.
