Sandra Brown is a true Texan and she is born in that particular state, being raised there, studied there and now leading her professional life also in that very state. She was born in the year 1948 in Waco and being raised at Ft. Worth. She also did her studies there and took her master's degree from the Texas Christian University in English language.

After completing her education she worked on the position of a reporter in a magazine called PM. She also did some modelling in Dallas and also at the position of a weather caster for WFAA-TV. She found her life partner from television industry only as her husband worked as an anchor to a documentary program called Dust to Dust. In the year 1981 she took up writing as a career and made her début with a novel called 'Love encore'.
