Yes they will prevent you from receiving the home loan. That is because, you already are availing one loan and by the time you pay it back you are not eligible for the other loan.

Hi, if you have a Student Loan that is paid on time and no payments are behind. You may get a home loan. Loans are based on your income and credit rating. Go to your bank an apply for a mortgage loan. The bank will tell you, if you qualify. If the bank says no, check with other Mortgage lending institutions. Take care!
