In daily routine we often use or hear the term internet at school, at office any where. Did you people ever think what this term internet is? Today I will give some information about the internet and it working mechanism. Actually, internet is a joint group of many computers that operate and communicate to each other electronically around the whole world using a common set of language. This language in dictionary of Technology is known as protocols. Through this way billion, millions of computers are connected to each other.

Computers are linked to each other through TCP/IP that is the specific and unique address of every computer just like the unique address of our home. Internet provides are services of email, accessing web sites and transferring data among the connected computer. Communication among the different network is done by special communication device connected to network that is called internet router (IR). IR facilitates the communication between different networks.

Whenever a computer from network wants to send a message to other computer he prepares a packet- message he want to send and with this packet the address of the destination computer is attached. This packet is first delivered to the closest router in the network that further sends the packet to the destination address after applying necessary techniques.

The Internet is a worldwide anthology of computers and computer networks using TCP/IP protocol. It allows for electronic mail and the accessing and recovery of information from distant sources. Shortest Internet access can be prepared to obtainable to a local area network from side to side the use of a dedicated phone line connected to the network through a router.
      1.1.1. ROUTER
A router is used to interpret information from one network to another -- it is similar to a super-intelligent bridge. It selects the best path to route a message, based on the destination address and origin. The router can direct traffic to prevent head-on collisions, and it is smart enough to know when to direct traffic along back roads and short cuts.
While bridges know the addresses of all the computers on each side of the network, routers identify the address of the computers plus the address of all the bridges and other routers on the network. One of the most helpful things routers can perform is to "listen" to the whole network to decide what sections are busiest -- they can then redirect data around those sections until they clear up.
