Who is the inventor of the microscope?

    It was Hans Lippershey, and Hans Janssen. Said to have been made around 1595, in Middleburg, Holland. Giovanni Faver, is credited with naming the 'microscope', whom also gave the name to Galileo Galilei's compound microscope in 1625.
