    'K' is the symbol for a chemical element called potassium. The atomic number of potassium is 19 and its atomic mass is 39 grams per mole. Potassium is an alkali metal. The electronic configuration of potassium is 4s1. The electrons present in per shell of potassium atom are 2, 8, 8, 1. Potassium is a silver white substance and present as a solid at normal temperature. Moreover, it is present in first group, 4th period and 's' block of periodic table.
