Just have it replaced before you find yourself in the dark in the middle of no ware.most parts places sho have one i have a94 s-10 and have the same things go wrong with mine.it's the fast easy way of doing it

You can take the dimmer switch apart and fix it but by the time you go to all that trouble you would be doing yourself a favor by replacing it. Its a pain either way.
