Answers
Savings bonds cannot be cashed until one year after the purchase date. You can cash it in after 1 year but it will not be matured so will probably just get about what you paid for it not much interest.

Most savings bonds don't mature until five years.
You may be able to cash it in, but if so, you probably won't get the full value amount.
