Do I Have To Use Yeast In My Pizza Dough?

I would like to know if it is absolutely necessary to use yeast when making pizza dough and what would happen or not happen with my pizza crust if I don't use yeast in it?

Yes, pizza is made with yeasted dough.  Nothing is ever written in stone when it comes to cooking, which is creative.  I would think you could make a flat bread without yeast and still have a great pizza.  It's an objective, not subjective endeavor.

Usually yeast is an essential part of the pizza dough. It helps ferment the dough and when the pizza is baked it helps it rise and be really 'fluffy'. Without the addition of yeast the pizza crust will become really flat and crusty like the crust of a thin crust pizza after baking.

If you are going to use the pizza dough right away, no you don't have to use yeast. Try using baking powder, let the dough rest for about 20 -30 minutes before using. The reason for using yeast is to give the dough flavor through fermentation, which allows one to not use the dough until the next day if you like.
