Answer Question

A Built-in Editor provides a set of text editing commands and operations used in formatting and telling the computer programs what to do. For example, when you type an e-mail address or a http://web address into a Word Document,  remember the letters turn purple or blue; sometimes a line appears under the words, also. The reason this happens without you doing anything, except typing the words is the  Built-in Editor is programmed to do this automatically.

When formatting Word, to type a document, click on Format, then click on Auto-Format, in the drop down menu. Your document will automatically be formatted by the Built-in Editor. Click on Tools; then click on Spelling and Grammar, as you type a Red Line, will automatically appear under a Misspelled Word, it will remain, until you click on the command "Change," then your word will be Corrected. The Built-in Editor did it's job. While, you are typing, if, a Green Line appears under one word, a phrase or a complete sentence, your Built-in Editor is at work. The editor is telling you something is incorrect in your sentence. For instance the sentence is passive; you have a misplaced preposition; a comma is missing; a semi-colon is missing, or should not be present, or maybe the sentence just does not make sense. If, you click on Options, the Built-in Editor guides you in correcting the sentence. The Green Line will not go away until, you fix the sentence.

A Built-in Editor is built into your computer programs and appears as gibberish, to those of us who are untrained in computer technology. The Built-in Editor is our silent friend and we should not mess with his code.

I want to introduce you to a friend whose name is Webopedia.com, this friend is a lot like Wikipedia.com. However, Webopedia is an online encyclopaedia for computer terminology. You already know some meanings for the word source like; where something begins, the informer, the person who told you something.

Source code is the program statements created by a programmer using a text editor or a programming tool. When we purchase a computer, it comes with an operating system. The operating system written by programmers is original, the source of the program. The operation system or any application software we may add is not the source code, but is a compiled object code. The source code is not there, why because the source code is safe in a file in the hands of the owner of the code such, as Microsoft has the source code of their operations, programs and applications, created by their programmers. Otherwise, people would attempt to change the source code of programs which are not their own and use the results as their own.
