Emerald is considered as the most beautiful and fascinating gemstones. They have the most beautiful color that's why it is known as emerald green. In some cases emerald is more expensive then diamonds. The name emerald derived from the Green word "Snaragdos" which means "Green stone". In South Africa the best quality emerald is found and it's often called as Holy Gemstone.
There are different stories with the reference to emerald as it the symbol of good luck, and it promises luck. Emerald held a well esteem position from the ancient times.
