In What Year Was The Wizard Of Oz Released In The Uk In Bedfordshire Cinemas?
 I can only assume that it was not infact the first release of the film that your friend saw (considering that he wasn't born the first time it was actually released).I'm not too sure about Bedfordshire exactly, but the film was re-released at least a few times: - 1949, the same version but this time the film actually made some money. - 1955, in an apparent "widescreen" version. - 1998, the same "widescreen" version. So, it is entirely possible that your friend caught one of these re-releases and maybe didn't realise it at the time? |
